Looking for more information? As you consider applying to Rhode Island Teaching Fellows, we encourage you to participate in one of our information sessions. Information sessions are particularly useful for those who have general questions about the program or for those who are unsure about applying. Before attending one of our in-person or virtual information sessions, we ask that you first read this website thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the basic structure of the program.

Information sessions are led by a Teaching Fellows staff member and generally run about an hour in length. A session includes a brief overview of the program and a question and answer period.

Information Session (in-person): Monday, March 15

Time: 6:30- 8:00 pm

Location: Blackstone Academy, 334 Pleasant Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860

Description: This information session will focus on what it is like to teach special education in RI's schools today. Everyone who is eligible for RITF is eligible to teach special education and our partner districts have expressed that this is an area of high need; they are looking for special educators with expertise in math, science and English language arts. Come to this info session to learn more about how you can become dually certified in special education and math, science or English. We have invited current special education Fellows to attend and share their experiences in the classroom and to answer your questions.

Virtual Information Session: Thursday, March 18

Time: 5:00- 6:00 pm

Instructions: You will need a computer with internet access to view the online- webinar presentation and a phone to call into the conference call line. Specific directions will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.
