Rhode Island Teaching Fellows is currently accepting applications for two seasonal positions:
The Math or Science Fellow Advisor (FA) is one of the key players in our Teaching Fellows summer training institute. FAs are responsible for observing and giving constructive feedback to Fellows on their practice teaching (in summer school) in the mornings, in addition to leading curriculum framework sessions in the afternoons. Each FA will work full-time for six-weeks, from early July to mid-August 2010.
The TfR Seminar Leader position offers experienced teachers skilled in data driven instruction the opportunity to formally train and support new teachers during their first year of teaching. TfR Seminars meet two evenings a month for three-hour sessions. There are 16 sessions total from September 2010-May 2011, all of which are typically held in the Seminar Leader’s classroom. We are looking for Seminar Leaders for secondary math, science and English Language Arts as well as for elementary education.
